Human Resources Manager
Scope of Position:
Manage implementation of human resources policies, systems, and processes including legal compliance, hiring, compensation, payroll, benefits administration, performance management, and training and development.
Reports to: COO
Job Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with organizational culture and goals.
2. Manage the hiring process, including developing and maintaining job descriptions, sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, guiding hiring decisions, conducting orientation and onboarding.
3. Create a work environment where every individual is treated with honor, dignity, respect, feels valued, and wants to do their best; communicate a compelling vision for each person’s role; coach, develop, and motivate to help achieve that vision. Address any issues in a timely manner, providing regular constructive feedback. Implement initiatives that promote employee well-being.
4. Manage the performance evaluation system, assisting leaders and staff with setting goals, conducting performance reviews, providing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities.
5. Assist the COO in setting employee compensation packages and in evaluating, securing, and renewing employee benefit plans.
6. Identify and address training needs within the organization.
7. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Handle workers’ compensation, short-term disability, and FMLA claims.
8. Manage HR information systems. Maintain employee handbooks, policy documentation, and HR procedures. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the HR function, regularly review and update HR policies and practices to ensure they remain relevant and effective. Engage with key stakeholders, including employees, managers, and external partners, to gather feedback and insights to inform and improve HR initiatives.
9. Provide shared services to Impact 360 Institute including HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration, and work collaboratively with Impact 360 leadership on HR policies, processes, and legal compliance issues.
Requirements:
1. An evangelical believer committed to Christian service consistent with our organizational purpose, mission, and beliefs who is actively involved in a Christian church and living out his/her faith daily.
2. Bachelor’s degree with ten years of HR experience, including a minimum of 5 years of HR management experience. Experience must include payroll and benefits.
3. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credential.
4. Ability to work independently and as a strong team player under time pressures without loss of poise, grace, or humor.
5. Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice. A signed non-disclosure agreement is required.
6. Strong communication skills including one-on-one conversations, small group facilitation, and writing in a manner consistent with our organizational purpose and beliefs.
