Program Manager
Scope of Position:
Manage the implementation of Lifeshape’s programs and associated projects around the world that advance the fulfillment of Lifeshape strategies to glorify God by cultivating followers of Jesus.
Reports to: Director of Strategic Advance
Job Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Director of Strategic Advance in developing Lifeshape strategies, programs, and budgets, ensuring alignment of such with Biblical principles, priorities, and values. Responsible for managing the assigned budget in a manner that reflects good stewardship of resources.
2. Nurture healthy partnerships with like-minded ministries that advance their work and/or assist them in becoming more effective organizations. Lead in the design and implementation of long-range partnership strategies and in the development and the successful execution of projects that advance and achieve the goals of the partnership. Promote timely communication with and between partners and project leaders.
3. Explore and cultivate potential partnerships and assist in the vetting process.
4. Build and nurture a strong project leader community that ensures the successful completion of projects and fulfillment of the partnership objectives. This includes the selection, equipping and coaching of these leaders.
5. Ensure that each project team is of adequate size, composition, and has the needed skill-set, passion, and fit for successful completion of each project.
6. Cultivate relationships with and assist in the mobilization of the Chick-fil-A family of Operators and Support Center staff to participate in Lifeshape projects to champion Lifeshape’s purpose.
Requirements:
1. An evangelical believer committed to Christian service consistent with our organizational purpose, mission, and beliefs who is actively involved in a Christian church and living out his/her faith on a daily basis.
2. Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.
3. Six years of experience in international non-profit work. Two years or more of living and working outside the United States preferred.
4. Understanding of global missiology and best practices. Proven strategist with the ability to set goals, determine actions to achieve the goals, and mobilize resources to execute the actions.
5. Domestic travel and international travel required. (4-6 times per year). Ability to anticipate and address the challenges of overseas travel and cross-cultural relationships, leading to effective outcomes.
6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to work independently and as a strong team player under time pressures without loss of poise, grace or humor.
7. Strong communication skills including one-on-one conversations, small group facilitation, public speaking, and writing in a manner consistent with our organizational purpose.
8. Demonstrated ability to handle stressful situations, make rational decisions, and take effective action, in a manner consistent with our organizational purpose and beliefs.
9. Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks and move from one project to another while leading multiple projects to a successful completion.
